Erin Arline was born healthly on April 5th, 1980. Erin continued to grow like any other child accomplishing jumprope, riding a bicycle without training wheels, and learning to skate on single blades. By the time Erin was 7 years old, it was thought that she had learning disabilities with one doctor diagnosing her with ADD. Michael and I struggled for many years attempting to receive a diagnosis. We visited many Boston hospitals and many doctors that could not give us any answers. At 16 years old, Erin experienced her first grand mal seizure.
Now, more than ever we wanted a diagnosis. A year and a half later, we received the diagnosis of Niemann-Pick Type C Disease, a fatal
genetic disorder without a cure. Niemann-Pick Type C took Erin's life on December 1st, 2004 with family and friends surrounding her.

The last 3 weeks of Erin's life, Rebecca never left Erin's side. The last time Erin spoke, it was in the middle of the night. Rebecca leaned over Erin and said "I love you Erin". To our
surprise, Erin spoke and said "I love you too!!!
